Dee Snider has released a video showing him performing a stripped back, piano-led version of Twisted Sister classic "We're Not Gonna Take It".
Directed by musician and illusionist Criss Angel in a desert outside Las Vegas, the promo was produced to help raise awareness of Angel's new cancer charity, HELP (Heal Every Life Possible). It was founded in honor of his two-year-old son, who is in remission from leukaemia.

Zach Sobiech - May 3, 1995 – May 20, 2013 part II
Back in May I wrote "Zach Sobiech - May 3, 1995 – May 20, 2013" about Zach Sobiech, a teenager who had found out that he had a rare bone cancer.
As Adam Mordecai, the guy who brought Zach so much attention, says himself, but it could be about any of us writing about Zach in the blogosphere:
And here is the Celebrity Music Video of 'Clouds'
Got to go now, getting very dusty in here...

"I'm sad I never got the opportunity to meet him. But 5,000 people who did know him got together to create a giant choir in the middle of the Mall of America. Then they sang his song, which debuted a year ago. The couple in the middle are his wonderful and supportive and brave parents. And I, once again, have become a weepy mess."

iPhone 5S - The Secret Behind The Technology
Personally, upgrading a phone because it weighs 7 grams less, or has an even better camera just doesn't make it pay for me. I have what I have and I am very happy with it.

However, there is allegedly a new iPhone coming out very soon, and here are some of the details:

I Nearly Crashed My Car. 3 times.
It was simple really, I'd been listening to the Popstuff podcast which always brings a broad grin to my face. The girls on the podcast are sassy, fun and in all honesty, enchanting. So when they suggested listening to another podcast I decided to give it a try.
The podcast they referred to sounded harmless enough, 'My brother, my brother and I'. An 'advicecast' whatever that may be. Probably 3 siblings talking about something or other with the bigger ones bullying the youngest one into joining, and no doubt, they'd be making him spill all of his embarrassing life stories.
Worth a listen at least?
So I did. And thats when I nearly crashed the car.
3 times.
In a period of twenty minutes.

Sweet, sweet listening indeed.

My Brother, My Brother and Me is an advicecast for the modern era featuring three real-life brothers: Justin, Travis and Griffin McElroy. For roughly five-sixths of an hour each week, with new episodes dropping every Monday, the brothers McElroy will answer any query sent our way, each fielding questions falling into our respective areas of expertise. We operate like a streamlined, advice-generating machine. It’s both terrifying and humbling to behold.

Answer Me This!
Helen & Olly present one of the most amazing podcasts around, but if you're not into podcasts then here are a few of their videos on YouTube about Good ol' Great Britain;
Their old podcasts are available on iTunes and, if you're not too squeamish about a bit of swearing - go there and buy them. NOW!!

I'm meant to be the one ranting
The idea of this blog is to bring you, the gentle and highly intelligent genius that you are, a few of the interesting things I find out there on the interweb.
Tanker over at Mostly Cajun, All American and Opinionated, has this juicy rant about, guess what? Yeah, 'kids today'. Have fun!
The whole outrageous rant is here.

When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning…. Uphill… Barefoot… BOTH ways… yadda, yadda, yadda....
And I hate to say it, but you kids today, you don’t know how good you’ve got it! ....
There were no MP3’s or Napsters or iTunes! If you wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the record store and shoplift it yourself!...
Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio, and the DJ would usually talk over the beginning...
The whole outrageous rant is here.

Random Thoughts part deux
We had the first heavy rains of the winter on Friday so I was going to rant about how cars aren't made of paper and at over a tonne a piece, can quite happily go through a puddle or two - thinking that goes against what most of my fellow countrymen believe.
Our Friday night guests canceled on us because of the weather so now Mrs J (aka 'Her Indoors) now have 2 chickens, a half kilo of rice and a whole chocolate mousse to get through. And I was going to rant about that too but going through a chocolate mousse really isn't a bad thing!?!
And then I started going through the blogs I follow on Google Reader and came across a few things you might find interesting, just not finger licking good!
