Burning Calories

I sit in my office cubicle, drinking my warm cup coffee and nibbling on my Special Tea biscuits, when up pops a youtube video I haven't seen for a while but remember well.

It must have left a good impression on me if I remember it from just the halfway picture. And then the penny drops, its of a young chap who trekked a few thousand kilometers across China and took a photo of himself every day.

Now that's some determination!

No buy Chinese fakie - kay?

I was recently advised by a co-worker to buy something online from China. At the time I declined as I really had no use for the product. After seeing the below over at Damn Cool Pics I will never, repeat NEVER, buy anything from China over the internet.

One guy brought this failed 500Gb hard drive to service center because of some problems. When workers of the center opened it they were very surprised, because there was... 128 Mb flash drive inside instead of the 500GB hard drive. The man explained that he bought this fake Samsung HDD in a Chinese store. Be careful what you buy.

Ever wondered what those Chinese lettered tattoos really mean? There are a few websites out there who translate these things for inquisitive tattooed individuals.

賈 means "buy/trade", 路 means "road, path", 卡 means "card".

賈路卡 sounds like a type of prepaid card that allows its owner to access public transportation. Typically it is called 乗車券 定期券 (short for 定期乗車券) in Japan and 月票 in China.

Some readers suggested this could be translation of "Jeanluc", but that is not correct. Jeanluc is 吉魯克.
